1. Who we are

StudyKindle is operated by Arnav Singh trading as Studykindle.co (“we”, “us”, “our”). We provide an AI-powered study platform at studykindle.com.

For any privacy questions, contact us at studykindlesupport@gmail.com.

2. What we collect

We collect the following personal information when you use StudyKindle:

  • Account data — your email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).
  • Profile data — your display name, education level, country, state/province, and year level, which you provide during onboarding.
  • Study content — your chat messages, flashcards, quizzes, and cheatsheets, which we store so you can access them across sessions.
  • Usage data — learner memory (an AI-generated summary of your learning patterns, refreshed periodically to personalise responses) and quiz attempt scores.
  • Content moderation data — if a message triggers our safety filters, it is logged alongside your user ID for review by administrators.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, and cookies (used for authentication only; see Section 5).

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. How we use your data

  • To provide and personalise the StudyKindle service.
  • To maintain your conversation history and study materials across sessions.
  • To improve AI responses using your learning patterns (learner memory).
  • To detect and prevent abuse, spam, and harmful content.
  • To communicate with you about your account when necessary.

4. Third-party services

We share data with the following third parties to operate the service:

  • Supabase — database and authentication provider. Your messages, profile, and study content are stored on Supabase servers. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
  • Google (Gemini AI) — your chat messages are sent to Google’s Gemini API to generate AI responses. See Google Privacy Policy.
  • Cloudflare (Turnstile) — we use Cloudflare Turnstile on our sign-in and sign-up pages to prevent bot abuse. See Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel — our hosting provider. See Vercel Privacy Policy.

5. Cookies

We use cookies solely for authentication — to keep you signed in between visits. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. The cookies set are:

  • Supabase session cookies — required for authentication. These expire when you log out or after a period of inactivity.

You can disable cookies in your browser, but this will prevent you from logging in.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can export or permanently delete all your data at any time from the Settings panel inside the app (see Section 7). When an account is deleted, all associated data is removed from our database immediately.

7. Your rights

Regardless of where you are located, we honour the following rights:

  • Access & portability — export all your data as a JSON file from Settings → Data & Privacy.
  • Deletion — permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete my account.
  • Correction — update your profile information from Settings at any time.
  • Objection / restriction — contact us at studykindlesupport@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Children's privacy

StudyKindle is designed for students of all ages. If you are under 13 years old (or under 16 in the European Economic Area), you must have your parent or guardian’s permission before creating an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental consent. If you believe a child has registered without consent, please contact us at studykindlesupport@gmail.com and we will delete the account promptly.

9. International data transfers

StudyKindle is a global service. Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States, where our third-party providers (Supabase, Google, Cloudflare, Vercel) operate. We rely on these providers’ own adequacy mechanisms and standard contractual clauses for cross-border transfers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of StudyKindle after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Contact us
